Shri Chintamani Fair at Kalamb in Yavatmal

Shri Chintamani Fair is one of the major attractions of the region. It is organized at the underground of the famous Chintamani Ganesh temple in Yavatmal. This fair is organized for almost seven days. Devotees accumulate here to enjoy this beautiful event and witness the glory and power of Lord Ganesha. Locals believe that Sri Chintamani erases all the worries, thus giving peace. The meaning of the word Chinta means worry. So, he plays his role by removing all the pain and worries.

On the Magh Shukla Paksha Pratipada Shri Chintamani yatra begins and the important fair and rituals is held from Chaturthi to Saptami. Almost 50,000 people attend the fair and yatra.

Shri Dutt Jayanti Fair at Mahur

Shri Dutt Jayanti Fair is also a popular event of Yavatmal. A big fair is organized during Datta Jayanti. The mandir is about 100 years old and refurbished around 40 years ago. This fair is celebrated every year with pomp and glory. Many people from different parts of the district visit this region. Horse bazar and horse trading is very famous in this area. The fair is held for 2 weeks and allures thousands of people.
